Anyone ever add power trim/tilt to a Jetstar or the like?

Other than the cost, I've only heard good things about them. You can sometimes find them for a decent price on CL as well. There was just one listed locally here for a pretty decent price that I considered picking up just to have. If you have a good motor that you like...I say it's worth the cost, otherwise, you can often find a complete motor with t/t for roughly the same cost as a new CMC.

Would like it more for just lifting the engine out

Depending on the year of your motor you may be able to find a tilt only unit. They are much less expensive then a tilt and trim unit.

I have the same CMC TnT your looking at on my SeaNymph, they are very sturdy units and mines worked flawlessly since I installed it. Having the trim is the only way to go, not only being able to trim the motor out for better speed, ride and easier steering the loading at the ramp it keeps the prop up off the concrete when power loading.
