anyone have a 1980's 18 ft monroe boat?

hello does anyone have a 1980's 18 ft monroe boat? just want to know what your set up is and what kind of speed every one is getting out of them i picked one up not to long ago it came with a 1990 120 hp out on the water it only does like 28 mph i thought it should go a little faster then that thanks to all who may reply

An 18' boat should do a goo bit better than 28MPH with a 120 on it. Perhaps your motor isn't firing on all cylinders or your hull is severely waterlogged. I'd be thinking more around 40MPH.

yes the boat was water logged i pulled it apart this afternoon there was 621 lbs of water logged foam and wood also 6 paint cans in there to my guess is that would not help my speed at all i will get it all back together and post ow well i made out with the speed
