anyone know if these sparkplugs are for 1250?

Walmart had good deal on 833/L78V Spark Plugs.<br />I have a 1969 Mercury 1250 motor. I think it calls for ql76v's Does anyone know if the 833's will work or will it be a problem.<br />Thanks.

Yea I know that, But someone told me that they buy theres at walmart and walmart only sells the 833 l78v so I thought they might work or be a cross referance.

L76V is the plug for 1250

They are not the right plugs, but they are a surface gap (perma-gap) and the motor will run with them, but I don't know what ill effects, if any they have on the motor.

Don't have an answer for ya, but I will say its good to see another 1250 owner on the board. Damn good motor...

Thnks for the help. I called boatersworld and told them I dont have reciet, They said they would exchange for me.<br />Jason- Thanks for the welcome. This is my first 1250 I am way excited to have one.<br />I had a 55 on my Glasspar no I am getting ready to fire up this 1250. Just have to find a place to mount power trim and ect.<br />Look forward to talking 1250's with ya.<br />Tod in Marysville Wa
