I removed my carbs this afternoon and look at what I found . Its not from me since my can of carb cleaner
had no straw to start with. (Lost it leaving the store) How did this even happen ? I am assuming its from
the previous owners doings or his mechanic that worked on it.

Are you serious ?? I just cant imagine how whomever it was didn't notice the straw disappearing while they were spraying the carbs. lol
Luckily it was a plastic straw and didn't do any damage. smh

It's amazing that it stuck in the intake??

Worked for GM in the engine plant in the late 60's
They would routinely grab a motor off the line and take it apart.
You wouldn't believe what they found in some of those motors.
The display contained: cigarette butts, extra screws/nuts/ washers, apple core, even a whole beer can(found that in the oil pan.

LOL Beer can in the oil pan.... thats awsome....
I could see how in the dark and after a few beers someone sprayed into the carbs with the throttle all the way open and the straw shot in. whats intresting is how it dident jamb the carb butterfly and it turned sideways in there.

Okay...keep looking in there. You could find Jimmy Hoffa as well, you never know. :pound

I always worry about dropping anything in any engine I work on. And if I did drop something, I would have to open it up to get it out again. But that is just me.
