Kind of looks like a s spring seal top used on Grolsch(sp?) beer. Looks like it has been modified as some kind of mouse trap. The mouse sticks his tongue in to lap up the beer and the trap springs on its mouth.

No it is stationary, one just lifts the handle tilts that bottle in the right general direction, as it is hinged on both sides, or something.

88, what is hinged?
The handle is made to pick bottle up by.
The music box is hidden underneath.
The bottom has 4 little legs it sits on.

Pat, don't know what it's playing.
It has one of them 'ol style players like a player piano has.
It's some kind of waltz or something.
I dunno, but it's pretty. :)

All whiskey bottles play music if you empty them fast enough.

Did you try rubbing it? Maybe Barbara Eden would pop out..."yes master".

I agree with KennyKenCan. But it is the one that has the "musical noise generator, and the carrying attatchment". My grandpa always talked about these things. Said if ya didnt have one ya wernt kool.

Naw, you are all wrong, it is a port side running light from a vintage 1887 water craft. Man, never seen one in such good condition! Must be worth at least $100K! Where did you find that SBN? Never saw one in such good condition!
