Well it is a ski boat, they are known for their wake, although I didnt see anything about a ballast, might be worth asking about, some ski boats has a large water tank you fill so the boat sits lower in the water and cranks up a larger wake...

I don't have any experience with Pro Craft whatsoever, but the Hull looks a bit like the correct craft 2001, which will throw a great wake if properly weighted. I would post this thread on the wakeboard site, you will get more informed answers. Each hull is different, but most of the old direct drives will give you a decent wake if you put a few ballast fatsac-type water bags. Without the ballast, these boats are actually designed to throw a small wake for slalom skiing.

All other things being equal I'd expect a flat-bottom hull to have a smaller wake than a v-bottom hull. Typically ski boats like these have very flat bottoms.

most of the newer wake boats have a relatively flat bottom in the back also. At speed without ballast, that hull design throws a minimal wake. Slow it down and add 1000+ pounds, and you get a nice big wake. If that boat has enough room for a couple ballast bladders, it should be quite nice...

You're going to have to make that one dig. '91 is a little early for a designed wake boat.

The ski boats like that are actually designed to do exactly the opposite of what a wake boarding boat does. They are designed to leave a solid table and minimal wake, while the wake board boat is designed to grind it's way through the water - dropping big waves for the boarder to show off on :D

Might put a post in the wakeboarding forum about putting fat sac ballast in a competition ski boat and how people suggest it works out.

It says it's been winterized - and I'm not sure what your weather is like right now - but I would make sure you put that mug on the water and run it out before buying. Even if you have to re-do the winterizing. Enjoy!

I agree ^^^^ Ski boats are designed to produce minimal wake. Adding ballast to the rear and installing wave fin under transom will generate a good wake but I don't see either on the boat posted.
