Anyone use the Classified ads at Iboats?

I am thinking of putting a classified ad for a 1964 Evenrude v4 60hp in good running condition. The ads are $29.95 for a 6 mo ad. Was wondering if anyone here has sold an engine or any item using the iboat classifieds and were you happy with the results?

I posted my 11' Boston Whaler Tender there. I got a half dozen inquiries but all were too far away and didn't want to deal with shipping cost.

Iskih2o,<br /><br />I'm thinking $400 for the motor, controls and wire harness. It runs smooth. Has had regular maintenance. I am told by previous owner it is very powerful. I see new wires, hoses, starter and soloniod on it, so I believe him. But it is 40 years old and I want something newer so that is why I am selling it. I got it because the seller lost his storage and he lives in a condo in Staten Island NY. <br /><br />What do you think its worth?<br /><br />Mark42

Sorry JB, guess I crossed the line.<br />I'm not interested in buying, Just wondered if it would be worth the cost of the ad. Motors are worth whatever you can get. I had a few small motors from the 60's and early 70's, sold them for first offer, whatever it was $10-$60. Took awhile to sell. All were clean and ran well.<br /><br />To answer the original question, no I didn't advertise online.
