Apha One Gen 2 - gear oil leak

I have a 2001 Alpha1 Gen2 outdrive and have a gear oil leak from just above the shifter shaft. Is this an easy repair for the mechanically inclined? If so, any tips/links for fixing this?

Nothing to leak oil from there, other side of that bushing is the exhaust cavity. If dripping there, then you probably have oil leaking from the output shaft seals on the upper case leaking into the exhaust passageway. These are the seals that the shaft coming up from the water pump go through into the upper gear case.

Thanks Rick. Are replacing the output shaft seals a DIY deal or better left to a shop? For example are there special tools required and such?

Can you tell me the seal #s from this link that I'll likely need?
