Apparently a new CBS poll is reporting the latest approval rating for **** Cheney is at 19%.

Don Imus on his show this morning suggested that the BTK killer probably has a higher approval rating than that.

Re: Approval ratings

Why yes, JB. The press should not even cover the news that the VP's Chief of Staff was indicted for obstructing justice, etc.

The press's role is to be chief cheerleader for the administration, and report only good news, reported in the best favorable light.

That is how any other third world country would handle it. In this way, we can give the fledgling democracy in Iraq proper instruction in the real inner workings of a democracy.

It was OK for Pres. Clinton. You can't have it one way. But, that's what you have. The press "indicts" people/org's. all the time and people believe it.

"Indicted" and convicted are two different things. Anybody can be indicted for anything. In the "political" realm, it's a "witch hunt".

Two years for this? Justify that!

I guess they had to find a "patsy" to justify their existance.

The Pharisees (religious) crucified Jesus because they were-"frustrated". They weren't sure what to do, so, they killed Jesus to appease a misinformed/spoon fed public.

Justice-yea right!

Believe what you want to believe, yet, there can be many injustices done, in the name of
"political correctness".

Re: Approval ratings

The Imus in the morning show is not a program that is dedicated to news in any way, they have no talking point (agenda), it is an inconsequential entertainment program, they are all over the place, they bash any and everyone.
The suggestion that the BTK killer probably has a higher approval rating was made in jest, it served only to amplify the depth to which the Vice Presidents approval ratings have sunk.
The comment was not factual in any way, and it was not meant to be taken as such.

Re: Approval ratings

Surely no one thought they actually did a poll on the popularity of the BTK killer, and Imus was reporting the results. Did they???

Of course it is just an indictment, and not a conviction. Of course he will have the opportunity to answer the charges with a trial.

I can't wait for the trial.

I do think the fact that Libby is the first serving official indicted for a crime in about 100 years is, in itself, somewhat newsworthy.

Re: Approval ratings

How is Cheney "to blame" for Libby being indicted?

I don't disagree with your point, PW2, but focusing EXCLUSIVELY on what is bad news for the administration gets old in a hurry. That is not journalism, it is political terrorism.

Sounded fisible to me. Incredible seems to be the norm coming from the wacko left. Rather than distance yourself you tout them if it suits your hate.

By the lefts own rules: "Its the seriousness of the charge!.., not the truth thats important. ;)

Wrong again PW2, journalism is to report fact. Journalism is to report without agenda. My father spent thirty years in radio and television news. He is disgusted with what the mass media is doing.
