AQ-125/VP270 best hole shot prop?

Hello all,

Thank you all in advance for your help.

Been running my Bayliner with the 115hp AQ 125 for long time now. The boat is underpowered to begin with, let alone being 28 years old and kids getting older.

Is a 14x19 the best prop for waterskiing hole shots? Or, what is the optimum prop for this? I could care less about WOT cruising speeds.

To figure what you need we need to know what prop you have now and the present max rpm and speed.Wouldn't hurt to know what size the Bayliner is?Also need to know your max rpm rating.Your motor must be able to operate within its max rpm rating at wot(wide open throttle).

currently a 14x19. Max WOT book is 4800 rpm. My present max WOT with a 14x19 is 4300 rpm. Speed I dunno - disconnected. 19'6" boat. With a 14x17, I can almost get 4700rpm.
