AQ 125A High oil pressure....

I've noticed my oil pressure is way high this year. Stays this way even after engine is warmed up. I don't have the gauge in front of me but I think it's around 90psi when cruising. I haven't tested the sending unit but yet but it seems to be linear and normal at idle. And yes it has the proper 10w40 oil in it.
Question is where is the bypass valve? Is this integral to the oil filter?
I'm thinking i might just replace filter for good measure (cheap to rule it out).

Other ideas?

yeah the bypass is in the filter - once the filter is clogged it opens up to allow all oil through.
