Hello Forum
I have an AQ 131, I recently replaced the timing belt, cleaned and renovated the carb, put everything back together and noticed that it started straight away, sounds fine, revs good so I thought i would get the timing light out.
It states 6 degrees BTDC on the top of the air filter, however with the revs at tickover I notice that the main crank pulley timing mark is approx 35 to 45 degrees off to the left of the set of timing marks showing on the raw water pump markings.
I rechecked my timing marks and they seem fine, have I missed a step or have I simply screwed up somewhere in my alignment...
many thanks in advance
john
