an important lesson on starting with the basics was learned, ie. learn to check the toothed belt....the top noches were off by about 8 teeth.
so now the compression is up to 130 in each cylinder and it will start however the ignition timing is still off.
the distributor is frozen will not rotate. I have some PB Blaster on it now and hope to free it up by the morning, I have never seem one so stuck.
also the cooling system....if I open the valve under the exhaust manifold is that gonna drain the antifreeze into the bilge or out the exhaust. and does that valve need to be open to allow water from the muffs to circulate.
