AQ125A 1984 volvo penta not starting help please!!!!!

hello every one,i need help please i have a 1984 volvo penta. with 270 outdrive
im having starting problems with this motor,, i already did the carburator kit,and set time i was able to started after two days. after the starting day when to put it in the water with no luck, start at first then off and not anymoore. was playin with distributor try to set time again with no luck i dont know why time is jumping every time i set it up it looks like distributor teeth move.. thinking about to get the electronic ignitior from petronix but i dont know the right part numberr......i wish you guys can help me

Your post is not clear. Sounds like you have a couple issues.

Thank you for your reply finaly i have it ready find out the point was broken so when and get a new one and started right away ) problaby will go fishing next weekend

okay running now timing belt jump,have a new one on it started and ready to go only one more thing now outdrive not coming up or dow had to use a bridge to put it up or down any help on this?
