Hello everyone. It's me again. I have a 76 Volvo penta b20 aq130d and the impeller is shot. I took it to a marine shop and they can't find one at all in Canada or the states. Was wondering if anyone on here would have a good one for sale. It's an original one from Sweden. Let me know what you have and I can get more details to compare. Thanks

Re: Aq130d impeller

Here's a complete kit with seals and crosspiece:
Volvo Penta Raw Water Pump Kit AQ 115 AQ130 | eBay

Sierra impeller kit is 18-3080. VP p/n is 875808-8.

For some reason, iboats catalog isn't working right now and only shows aftermarket kits for diesel engines. A quick internet search of either part numbers should show quite a few sources for this impeller.

edit- here's one at the iboats store: Water Pump Impeller Kit - Sierra - iboats

Re: Aq130d impeller

Thanks pirate! I've ordered the part from I boats. So my new question is, when I took the impeller apart the fins in the impeller, at the top of the housing were bent off to the right. And the motor turns the impeller counter clockwise. To me it doesn't make sense, to me it seems as though the water would be pushed back towards the out drive and sucked in from the oil cooler. Obviously that would be wrong. Or am I wrong? Hope that makes sense to you and you could explain it to me.

Here's to explain my last thread a little better. The picture with the intake/output at the bottom is the way I took it out and apart. The intake being the right hand side. Put the fins look to me like they would be pulling water from the output side and pushing to the input. The second picture is of me holding it upside down from the way I took it off. This way seems to me would make more sense. Am I wrong?

That's the way it's supposed to be. The outlet is on the left in your first picture. Notice how the vanes are starting to become compressed as they reach the outlet port? That is what squeezes the water out from between the vanes. If you over think it, especially when you're tired, it's so simple, it'll drive you crazy!

Think of it as a squeeze bulb. Squeeze and the water squirts out. Release pressure on the bulb and something needs to fill the void. That something would be the water you're drawing up through the outdrive.
