So I've been searching for this particular combo and can't seem to find any conclusive info.

I am buying a 78 Bayliner Quartermaster that has the AQ130D/B20 Volvo motor. The twin Solex's are junky and need rebuilt. My friend has a Weber 32/36 DGV that I could buy a manifold for an put on this motor so rather than spend ~130 on rebuild kits I want to go this direction if possible.

This is not a marine rated carb but i'm hoping that isn't that big of a deal.

My question is how many people have successfully implement a single carb on these engines, how was the power/economy difference, and any insight into what jets to try first.

Thanks.

It IS that big a deal. Marine carbs keep the fuel in the carb, automotive can leak outside the carb and be a fire and explosion problem. That is why there are marine rated carbs.

You can get the kits with marine carbs, look at this link.
