hi, first time posting here.
i have 86 bay liner Capri with aq131a 270 out drive.
i just got the boat in the water the other day. it started with no problem, i can cruise at no wake but after the wake zone, i tried to throttle up, but it constantly dies. it didn't have any problem restarting. can anyone help me... any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Possible bad accelerator pump in the carb? With the motor off take off the flame arrestor and have someone run the throttle for you. You should see a stream of fuel coming from the small copper tube that aims down the throte of the carb. If that seems fine than how old is the fuel, possible water in it?

Re: aq131a problem acceleration... please help

the tank is 20 gal, when i first got the boat i thought it was empty so i put premium in it. but i was only able to put little over 15 gal.
instead of emptying the tank, is there anything that i can use to make it work??

last night i had an extra accelerator pump from the carb kit, i had and replaced it. now it doesn't want to run at all. (it runs only when i pump the gas for little while)
