I have a VP AQ 151. The exhaust hose that comes from the exhaust manifold got a tear in it. I have it patched as a temporary emergency fix. Doing a 2 day interenet search turned up that Volvo Penta is the only manufacturer of this part and there is no aftermarket support for this particular part # 834871. I have even verified through the Sierra cross reference parts manual and the VP OEM # does not come up.

All the Sierra and Mallory exhaust hoses are similar to this one and are the same style that I currently have installed. Can these parts be used or amd I stuck with the $100+ VP OEM?
