Aq170 exhaust down pipe replacement.

I have an aq170 with a corroded exhaust down pipe. How do I access the bolts for the down pipe? On the engine side or the outdrive side? It is connected to a 270.

The exhaust pipe has 4 bolts holding it, and they can be accessed from outside the boat. You can find them around the exhaust bellow.

I'm not sure that you can remove the pipe without removing the engine.

Step 1-remove upper unit on your aq270
step2-take out bellows
step3-remove 4 bolts holding exhaust pipe from the leg side
step4-remove 3 bolts holding exhaust pipe elbow(the very end of exhaust manifold on the engine)
step5-remove rubber pipe connector and exh. pipe.

Make sure you install new gaskets with new pipe.
