I have a 2002 Suzuki df40 oem propeller still in the original unopened box that came with my motor and I want to sell it but I wan't to know what else it might fit.

does it only fit on Suzuki or will it fit other brands like evinrudes?

its Suzuki part #58100-95393 Aluminum 3 Blade 11 5/8 x 12 pitch and 13 spline

I don't want to mislead anyone looking to buy it so I need to know for sure what else does this prop fit other then the df40-df50

also I think I will be buying a Honda bf50 soon and wondered if the stainless prop from my 2002 Suzuki df40 could fit that motor?

Re: are all propellers brand specific only?

You could do as I did and look up props here for your DF40 and compare the Solas Amita numbers for each brand in 12".
I use Solas Amita as they cover most anything.
The Johnson 4 stroke was a Suzuki the same prop is listed.
It appears the Suzuki won't fit a Honda.
While the Honda is a good motor you may want to at least check out the Evinrude Etec and other direct injection 2 strokes.
These meet or exceed all requirements with a much simpler motor.

I tried some prop websites but couldn't find any numbers that crossed over?

in fact I still don't see anything looking at the solas website right now as my Suzuki prop is shown as #4313-116-12 and there are no numbers listed matching that for evinrude or Johnson that I can see.

EDIT: ok there it is, I see on the solas website that the stainless prop crosses over to evinrude / Johnson df40-df50 four stroikes. but why the hell don't they show an aluminum number that crosses? this website shows different numbers for my motor then the solas website shows. im not saying they are incorrect numbers but just different numbers and brands that don't match the solas website info.

I still don't know what is so different about aluminum props that they won't show as crossing over?

as far as motor choice:
I looked at the etecs and im a evinrude guy but the etecs and all the 4 strokes are 240-250lbs and merc is 260lbs but Honda is only 215lbs and weight is the most important thing when your putting it on a jon boat so unless I can find an old 2 stroke Yamaha (190lbs) then i'll stick with the Honda bf50. when I bought the Suzuki I found out it was made by evinrude and I got a great deal so I bought it. they are great motors, I guess because they are just evinrudes with different name on em.

I was hoping the Suzuki ss prop I had would fit the Honda bf50, but I guess that's another $300 I have to spend for one. cant go plowing oyster beds with an aluminum prop lol.

BRP has gone to Suzuki for their smaller motors under 25 hp.
Before Johnson motors were dropped Some of them were Suzuki.
Evinrude motors 25hp to 300hp are built in this country by BRP.

Evinrude and Johnson 4 strokes were made by Suzuki. Evinrude and Johnson 2 strokes have never been made by Suzuki.

The small Evinrudes made today, 30 HP and under (4 stroke), are made by Tohatsu. Tohatsu also makes 30 HP and under 4 strokes for Mercury and Nissan.

Evinrude E-TEC 15 HP - 300 HP 2 strokes are Evinrude only, BRP has never licensed that engine design to anyone else.
