Looking at putting a ETEC 75 or 60 on a boat that had a 2002 Susuki 60 4ST.
Would I be able to use the same mounting holes?
Thanks

I don't know about that match up exactly but I have yet to change brands and have the holes line up. Only done it a few times but new holes were always necessary. Even different years of the same brand didn't work.

Should be OK. Older Force and really old Johnson/Evinrudes had different hole locations but late model engines are the same!

P.V.
Are you saying that all late model motors, in the same HP class, can be mounted in the same holes as the Susuki?

All late model mid-sized and large outboards use the standardized transom hole pattern that Johnson and Evinrude pioneered back in 1960 with the 75hp.

It was the older Mercs and Forces, among others, that had different holes and mounting clamp screws.

Engine exchanges between two of my boats showed compatibility betweeen 95 Evinrude 40 and 2002 Mercury 40 HP. New boat was ordered with no prerig but the transom was predrilled. Evinrude installation was perfect match and predrilling tells me that mounting hole spacing is now standard. (Boat manufactures probably demanded it.)

Thanks for the replys.
I really would of had a hard time changing motors if I had to drill new holes in the transom.
Just dont like new holes in the hull, period!
