Are Props for Merc and Volvo stern drives the same?

I have a Volvo SX stern drive and see most props advertised for Merc's. Are they interchangeable or is the hub's different?

The Merc is a 15 spline and the SX should be 19. What are you looking for?

i'm not the original poster, but trailerboats did a "propfest 4.3" test on a stingray with a 4.3l, and the volvo props did quite well, so i have some interest in them as well on a merc alpha.

If they used the exact same prop on each drive they probably used a prop with the replacable hub system. Just used a Merc hub kit for the Alpha and a Volvo kit for the SX.

I would bet that every consumer prop that merc makes is Flo-Torq I or II hub and will fit every major drive out today with the right hub kit. Also Michigan Wheel props with XHS hubs and MasterTORQUE hubs from Turning Point are interchangeable with Flo-Torq II.

93Maxum give the Merc Enertia prop a look, its not cheap but its an awesome prop. Most of the hype that Merc says about them is true, 30% better hole shot and 2mph more on the top end.
