Just curious...one would have to think that these places exist?

I’ve seen some private properties that if you didn’t know better you’d think they were a salvage yard.

We have one not far away. It’s part of an old marina and last time I looked, they’re was probably 80-100 boats in their yard, mostly powerboats over 24’. Decent people but not particularly ‘cheap‘ used parts. 10:years ago I rented a tandem trailer from them to pickup a boat I had bought 200 miles away.

Gee, there used to be a list of salvage yards on this forum. Likely in a sticky.

There is/was one north of Atlanta iirc. Also used to know a guy that had 30ish on his property.

Lanier Marine Liquidators. I'm just about 2 hours away. Would love to go browse, but not sure if they allow that. Check them out on Google Maps with satellite overlay....soooo many boats.

There was one across the river from me, but looks like they closed. They were expensive anyway. Check out larger independent marinas/mechanics. All of them around me have scores of junk boats, and i've hit them up for random parts in the past.

We have boat dumping areas in the farm lands. Some are large. Remove parts when bees are not active in colder weather.

If still open, there is one in LaSalle Mich. Called Checkers. I know there are others, but have only used this one.
