Are these carbs interchangable?

1961 6 HP Johnson 6102G-J09890 , 1965 6 HP Johnson

I bought both these off a guy and she said id be able to swap the 1965 with the 61 but not really sure. They look pretty similar as far as mounting, but idk if the circuits in the carb will be compatible?

6hp 61 ( may have been sold in 61 ) takes the 18-7043 kit , have a look down that list of kits and see how many models use it . There will be differences in the carbs like bigger venturies but the same basic carcase is used .... which sorta implies that the carbs are interchangeable ...... to a point , you sure wouldnt want to go smaller venturi or to much bigger . They may also have different cranks/ linkages .
