Are these coils interchangeable?

Merc part 332-4895A8 and Merc part 332-4895A2, Application would be a 1978 Merc 115hp. There is nothing wrong with my coil, but it does not hurt to have extra.

Yes the are. Electricly-speakin, they are identical. The only difference is the bedding or casing materials used.
