Hi all<br />Are these the right spark plug wires for the 3.7l 224/470 mercruiser...going on a 78 SeaRay SRV195??<br /><br />18-5227 Spark Plug Wires<br /> Merc 7Mm Wire<br /><br />18-5228 Spark Plug Wires<br /> Merc 8Mm Wire<br /><br />and are there better wires here too or are these good???

There was a GREAT debate over sparkplug wires here over a month ago. Those look like Sierra part numbers. If that is what their cross reference calls for, then yes either one will work. Sierra wire are supposed to be "marine" approved (?).<br /><br />Personally I went with 8MM ACCEL wires. But that opens up the ole can-o-worms all over again.

mike<br />if they are marine wires and the right lenth you should be ok but a merc manual should give the orginal part# to cross reffence<br /><br />tommays
