Are these the same hulls?

I know, it's a loaded question. I have been looking for info on a new boat that I purchased, a fibercraft. I came across a 1977 chaparral, and it seems that this may be where the mold wen't, but with different caps. Iboats has the last year for fibercraft as 1977. What do you think.

I believe there are allot of knock-off's out there. Look at how many boats look like a Mako.

The chines and transom look just ever so slightly different... the strap in the first picture obscure directly comparing them.
