Hey all
I have a '89 omc cobra 5.7l on a four winns 210 horizion.
The boat sat for a few years before j got it, so far I. Have redone the heads the carb has been rebuilt(quadra jet) I have insalled a new fuel pump and a new pertronix billet ignitor II distributor with new wires and two sets of plugs!
The boat starts and idles fine when you put it in neutral it does great it will turn up to 5k if you want but as soon as you put it in gear it wants to bogg down and at higher rpm it wants to pop n the intake and the rmp will not hardly get over 4k when you first get in the water then after running a little while you wont even be able to run 4k. Does anyone have any suggestions I have checked my timing and advance both seem to be fine. The only part of the ignition system I haven't changed is the coil. Also I have changed fuel filters twice( the spin on type).
If anyone can give me some advice I would be very greatful rite now I am about to my breaking point!!!
