ATF oil for trim / tilt

Volvo Penta specify that you must use there ATF oil for topping up the trim/tilt sytem but it seems way over priced.
Does anyone know the oil specification, I am sure it can be bought cheaply from an auto store and do the same job?

ATF is pretty much ATF...
I think I used some Valvoline ATF in my pump system..
Maybe its more expensive in the UK since there are so many more manual transmissions.

It's just standard Dextron ATF

You can also click here and download an owers manual for your engine. It has that info in it.

Thanks Don, I can't find the amount of fluid required though.
Any ideas, the sytem is empty at the moment?

Ayuh,....
While I'm not exactly Sure,...
2 Quarts should be More than enough...
