I was surprised Thayer the floor only had 1/2 plywood. Also it was held to stringers by rivets. I am leaning toward using 3/13 sheet metal screws. Would rivets be better? Thanks

It's a little bit situational, but in general, rivets would be the best method to secure your (sealed) deck to the alum stringers.

Thank you for response and the welcome Jasoutside. This is my first post on iboats, although google searches for technical advice on my boat repairs/rebuilds had led me to Iboat forums many times. I have gutted and rebuilt 2 pontoons and 2 fiberglass boats, this is my first rebuilt of aluminum hull. Also I noticed a couple typos in original post. Would use 3/16 sheet metal screws, not 3/13. I will proofread posts in the future.
