I have a quick question. I need to know if a marine coil is interchangeable with a automotive coil. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Also, how do I get the right coil at the auto store? Because I think the part #'s are different. Thanks

One thing I noticed (atleast for the pertronix coils)...they "recommend" the epoxy filled coils for marine applications...not sure why.

-JustMrWill

I know why. I put a high performance oil filled coil on my boat and it went bad in no time. The 'High Vibration' coils all are epoxy filled.
MSD makes a fine one.

Go to NAPA with your coil, they will match it up for you.
