72 slickcraft Need help wiring a auto meter electronic oil press. Gauge. I have a Blue wire. Black wire.purple wire. And of course a green wire. I have the purple on s terminal. Blue on the I terminal. Black was Ground. I put the green wire to ground .

Most often, black is ground, green is ground, blue is sender and purple on mercruisers is ignition hot.
