Auto Oil Filter on 3.0 1987 OMC cobra?

Ok guys I look at old threads on differences between Marine and Auto oil filters. They go back to 2005 and have old links that are no longer working.
So who has the latest and greatest info. and OPINIONS! Is there a flow difference? That is something I could not find an answer to. Is Fram still C R A P? Currently been using Sierra but was going into OMC service manual and they do cross reference Puralator and AC delco. Any one?

Ayuh,.... I run Napa Gold filters,... they're rebadged Wix filters, some of the Best....

The 3.0l runs the same exact filter as the SBC block mounted filters...

"Marine" filters in most cases are manufactured by an automotive filter manufacturer, and painted/labeled with the marine company's name. NAPA, WIX, AC, Purolator are all fine filters. And yes, IMHO standard Fram filters are sub-par.
