Autoblend working or not ??

I just bought my 1st outboard. it's a 1988 Mercury 115 w/ an autoblend oil pump. How can I tell if it is working properly? If not working can you disconnect it and mix the oil with the gas?

Yes you can mix the oil with the gas, 50:1. If it were my engine I would disconnect the autoblend.

i agree with dave,mix it yourself and theres no doubt.

The Autoblend that came with my 89 35hp is on a shelf in the garage. Thats where it's gona stay. 50:1 in my tank..
