I want to put an automatic bilge pump in my 19' capri cuddy. Either an attwood or rule, the type with the built in float switch. Is there a way of wiring in a light to indicate that the pump is running (drawing current)? I know I can do it with the separate switch pump type. TIA

Sure! Head to Radio Shack and buy any 12 volt pilot light (LED or incandescent) that meets your needs. Install it on the console. Ground one wire. Other wire goes back to the float switch lead that powers the pump. Not the +12 volt feed to the float switch. It needs to connect to the output or load side of the switch. You may need to get into the pump housing to get to that connection.

Cool! Got the LED already, will look at the inside of the pump. Thanks.
