Auxilary Bracket

I need some help mounting a bracket. The boat is a 14.5 foot aluminum. The transom height is about 20-20.5". I run an 18hp long shaft but picked up a 3.5 short shaft. I am assuming that it would not be good to run the 3.5 directly off the transom, hence the bracket. I was told by the mftr that the transom height for the short shaft shall be no less than17". I am concerned that if I shoot for this the bracket will drag in the water.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Stationary bracket or adjustable spring loaded bracket?

Re: Auxilary Bracket

Had the boat in the water today. Took some measurements of the waterline and checked the transom at top speed. I think I could gigure this one out.
Thanks anyway.
