My mercury outboard (Tiller steer) does not have a sn plate on the side of the transom mount. Instead, it is on the front, round plate where starting instructions and such are. There are only numbers in this serial number : 4061800. I know this engine is a 20hp, and has a top cover with "200" on it. Mercury's website does not recognize this number, even with putting the 0 in front like it asks me to do. Other numbers I found: Raised numbers on motor: 942-5030, Head: 1022-3567, transom clamp: 1427-3264, all part numbers, I presume, but does not cross with anything I can find.
