Hello all,
Well after having a 1973 Nova two years ago that I sold for some unknown reason, I've purchased another Starcraft. After not having a boat last year we decided we missed being on the water so this time I picked up a mid 80's SS 16'. It needs some TLC, but it's a really solid boat. It's got a newer transom, no leaks, power trim, fish/depth finder, a solid floor, and runs great. It will need to be painted, but I don't think I'll get to it this year. Right now we will be working on a major cleaning to the interior. I've got to find a good product for taking mold off from the vinyl, which shouldn't be a problem when you hang out on this site as much as I do. The trailer is in very good shape as well. I've posted some before pics, one of which shows what a one minute was job can do on the motor. I've spent many hours on here looking at everyone's projects, and it's great to see all of the help people have gotten and given.

Welcome back to the Starmada

I really like the look of the mid-80's half lap and half smooth sides.

The motor appears to be from a different era though?

Thank you Watermann. I haven't looked the motor over much yet, but would guess it's a 70's vintage. I'd really like to do a complete resto, but we really want to be on the water as soon as the ice is out. The interior of the boat has some serious mold to take care of, but other than that it is pretty much ready for water. It is going to be moored at a friends dock for a good part of the summer, and I'd like to get a good rain proof cover for it. Does anyone have any recommendations?
