Arrived back today ... 2 1/2 weeks in Ghana, West Africa, couple times a year go there. Great time. Students so eager to learn, sure is fun teaching eager students! Good to be back where I don't have to fight through a proxy to post, but was able to upgrade our internet service while there so the last days were easier than ever before.

Now to catch up on what I missed ... After I catch up on my sleep!

Only thing you missed was picking the winner in last night's game. But now I see you have a semi-reasonable excuse. :welcome:home, Speck.

Cool. What do you teach aspeck?
Taught a couple Bible classes and a basic first aid / response class. These kids were so eager to learn the proper way to help someone. You see so many accidents where they yank injured around before assessing the hurt. Had do do a lot of physiology so they would understand the reasons behind why you don't randomly yank a spine/neck/head injured person around. What do do when someone has a seizure, etc. Very basic and using wilderness techniques since most of them don't have splints, bandages, even clean water or ice available. So they had to think, what would you do type stuff. Very fun to teach and see the lightbulbs come on!

Awesome! A little science and some health care go along way. Glad they're so eager to learn too. I wish I could get the kids I tutor in Anatomy & Physiology, Math, Chemistry, etc... to be as enthusiastic :/ Is the weather ok in your neck of the woods? Do you still have some time to get out on the water before winter, I hope?

Yep, definitely fun to teach. As for weather, thunderstorms and tornado warning right now, but I will be on the water yet this year ... We use boats to hunt, so I will be boating till the lake freezes over or all seasons end ... Sometime In January Or Feb. cold doesn't bother me ... Ha!
