I live in south carolina which requires you to register your motor. I just bought a jon boat with a 25 Hp johnson from a state that does not require registration. It is an older motor and the the serial sticker is no longer there. I understand you can find a backup serial on the freeze plug. My question is is this my serial number or an after market plug number? R8186328
