bad coil

i have 95,60hp.mariner,have replaced stator,switchbox,plugs,wires,cleaned carbs,still takes long time to plane,you can here a cylinder kicking in and out,then will kick in and run great,could this be a bad coil?,and how can i test this?

An ohm meter can test the windings ok, but it will not tell you if you have any internal arcing. The dealer should be able to test it properly or if you know which cylinder it is, swap the coils and see if the problem following the suspected coil.
