Bad Fuel pump ?? 150 black max

I posted a week ago , did not get any response except some one might have peed in my gas tank. .. Boat would Idle barely and once I hit forward gear it could be Kept running with the "choke".

Does this sound like a fuel pump issue ? compression even on all 6 .
Spark on all six.

Boat ran for a mile and a half on its first run of the season .

It could be many things. To test for a fuel delivery problem, you can try squeezing the fuel bulb while the motor is idling and see if that helps. If it does, you have a fuel delivery problem, which could be a bad fuel pump, fuel line restriction, dirty carbs, etc. To narrow the problem down further, you can hook up a vacuum gauge to the fuel line to test things further. The below links provide some guidance on this.

I find that it is usually better to do some systematic troubleshooting to find a problem that to repair/replace a lot of things on a hunch until you hit on the culprit. Of course, cleaning the carbs is never a bad idea if it has not been done in a few years, to eliminate that as a possible problem
