Looking to install a bait tank in my boat, I want to put one in that circulates the water. On boats where they are already installed, is there a thru hull fitting below the waterline that is used to draw the water in??? Any help would be great

Thanks

Tallman

Yes tallman there is and above the water line there will be an overflow as to get rid of water when it gets full if you have it plugged off.

Mine is set up to be able to close a valve and hold water in it as to not loose it when you take off to go somewhere else to fish.

If I don't close it, then all the water gets sucked back out.

Well you need some way to drain it when you are done and that is the way mine is set up.

If I was putting a new live well in a boat, I would just plum it and use a plug to plug the live well with. Then when I got done, just pull the plug and drain the water out of it.

Save a little bit of $ by not using the valve.
