For scuppers mounted close to the waterline, water has a tendency to come back into the cockpit while the boat is at rest. Are the floating ball type scuppers effective at keeping the water out? (This question is only regarding the effectiveness of this device to stop water while clean and functioning. Disadvantages such as breakage, clogging, lines snagging, etc. when are not part of this question)
