Bantam 3X hull drain plug

I have bouhgt this boat for the kids to use at the lake. There are two pvc "plugs" at the rear of the boat to drain the bilge (I guess). It's taking on water through these holes because the plugs are just set into drilled holes. Can anyone recommend a sealing compound/silicone or something that will allow it to stay dry? I appreciate it. This may not be the right forum. thanks, though.

the best thing i can suggest and others may agree is 3m 5200 it is permanent. another is 3m 4200 look at the product here on iboats it should be available to look at I know home depot carries the 5200.

Refit the two drain plugs..

without really seeing what you have..dont Seal the drain plugs ..

Agree to need to see it, but if like most can you not get a couple of 1" drain tubes and install them and use regular "twist to tighten" rubber plugs? You can seal the tubes with the 5200 since they will stay in.
