barnacle help

This being my first project boat ( 27 hunter) I need some good advice on removing the years growth of barnacles from the fiberglass hull. Shes been sitting in Tampa Bay at least a year with no attention. THICK growth on her, any advice would be great . Thanks, T.

Use a plastic scraper to get most of the beasts off.<br /><br />You can finish with Barkeep's friend, On & Off or ZAP! to dissolve the remaining calcium deposits.<br /><br />My favorite is ZAP!.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

I'm really new at this, but you might ask some one here, that knows a lot more than me, would a mild acid work? Use it after you scrape most of the heavy layer off/
