Power-washed the bottom of my boat today. Removed most of the barnicle but left a dime size spot on the bottom of the boat. Power-washer will not take this off. Does anyone out there know how to remove these dime size things? Thanks for the help.

Plastic (NOT metal) scraper, followed by ZAP! or similar calcium dissolver.

Good luck. :)

You might want to try spraying Bleach. I use bleach on my trim tabs and it kills everything in about 15 minutes. Cheap stuff. I'm going to try a thin coat of vaseline on my trim tabs to keep the growth down.

Disc Clean which is an acid brick cleaner works a treat, but is VERY powerful. Wear protective gear and goggles if using and wash off thoroughly after a few minutes.Test on small area and keep away from aluminium. Nasty stuff but barnacles and limescale hate it.

Re: Barnicle Removal?

youcan use a metal scraper on your metal parts.

Someone once said the only effective tool for removing barnacles is a checkbook.
