I just bought a boat with a '87 Force 125 with 2 carbs even though it ran rough and back fired. <br /><br />The engine is in the shop now. I'm going to keep the boat in the water so I want to do all the maintenance I can now. <br /><br />Also, the lower unit has free play and the mechanic told me that happens on Force engines and it costs too much to fix better to just leave it. <br /><br />What do I need to do to make this engine reliable ?<br />Or, should I already start looking for a replacement ?<br /><br />Thanks !!!
