Basics to get ready?

Hi all,

This is my first time to iboats in about four months. Up here in MN boating is just a fond memory over the winter. Although spring was quickly thrust upon us, I've been tied up with a fixer-upper rental property (total renovation) that will keep me busy until the end of May.

However, on June 10 my son and I head up to Lake Vermillion for a four day houseboat excursion with a few other folks. We're towing our boat up there and will haul it behind the houseboat. We had our boat (see below for details) serviced in the fall. This will be my second summer of boat ownership. Will you all kindly remind me of the "basics" I need to do to get her ready for the season? Again, it's already been serviced (winterized, oil changed, impeller replaced) and the gas tank was full and a bit of fuel stabilizer was put into the tank. I'm assuming all I have to do is put the battery in, charge it up...and put it in the water. Right?

Normally the "summarize" includes a Tune-Up. Make sure to run it until it's warmed up On the muff of course to make sure the cooling system if functioning properly. Check out your gauges and running lights, etc. Check the alternator belt and tension. There is a sticky on top of the forum for getting ready for summer.

Hope you enjoy your trip. Sounds like a fun adventure.
