Bass Tracker Wiring Question - Need help

Hello.

I have a 1989 bass tracker I recently purchased. As you can see in the attached picture, I removed the front panel to install a new trolling motor plug, and there is a loose orange wire sitting there. I am not sure where it goes. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
